What is it?
In this activity (activity B3, p. 38 from the document, and resource B3, p.49), students reflect individually on written feedback, followed by a class discussion. An alternative is that students discuss the feedback in small groups first, and then ask each group to summarise their findings. This activity takes approximately 1 hour.
This activity is part of a set of activities aimed at developing student feedback literacy, from ‘The Developing Engagement with Feedback Toolkit (DEFT)’ by Naomi Winstone & Robert Nash (Higher Education Academy, UK).
Objective:
To raise awareness that feedback can evoke emotions and that this can affect further learning.
For whom?
